BitRate Calculator Freeware Publicly Released
Freeware for converting between various denominations of data is now available to editors and compressionists. BitRate Calc is a small program designed to quickly assess conversions. Whereas calculations like this would otherwise need to be done manually, this tool makes short work of the job, even allowing quick copying of results to use in a standard calculator, once data is converted into the proper denomination.

High Definition Camera and Editing
eThree Media announces new high definition field acquisition and post-production capabilities. Additions include the JVC HD-100UA shoulder-mounted camera as well as a new AJA HD/Final Cut Pro based editing system.
The JVC HD-100UA is capable of recording 4:3 and 16:9 images in both standard and high definition formats. This camera also switches between various frame rates, including the venerable 24p mode, which mimics the look of high-end film, but at a much more affordable day rate.
With the addition of HD capabilities from the field through full post-production, eThree Media sets the pace for state-of-the-art video production services in the region.

ADDY Award
Eric Darling, lead designer at eThree Media, wins an ADDY Award for his design of the eThree Media logo.
The ADDY Awards are held annually by the various chapters of the American Advertising Federation. Entries compete against creative and technical criteria in categories befitting all areas of advertising design work. The Logo category is a sub-category of what are called "Elements of Advertising." Entries are judged by three independent design professionals from external markets
This is Eric's second ADDY Award. He won his first in 2001 for an interactive CD-ROM.

Design Firms Web Design Award
eThree Media received word of our October, 2005 web design award from DesignFirms.org. The award considers three separate areas of importance in judging. These are: Creativity and Design; Programming and Compatibility; and Ease of Use and Effectiveness.
This award was given for our own web site at eThreeMedia.com. The list of other October winners is available on the DesignFirms web site. We are proud to be counted in such strong company.

New Web Server
eThree Media announces successful transfer of all existing web clients to our new and improved web server today. We conducted the transfer so that there was no downtime on any of our clients' web sites or e-mail services.
Our new server, located in One Wilshire, one of the country's premier data centers, is a Supermicro Dual Xeon 2.6 GHz with Hyperthreading, 2 GB of RAM, and
three 160GB Serial ATA (high speed) RAID hard drives. This configuration allows us to perform daily, weekly, and monthly automated backups on the content of our clients' sites.
This move facilitates heavier duty web services, and better uptime performance compared to our former dual Pentium 4 server machine. As technology persists in racing ahead, eThree Media is committed to keeping our clients in a position to capitalize on such advances.

Increased CD and DVD Duplication Capacity
eThree Media announces increased CD/DVD duplication capacity today. In-house duplication capacity has grown by 200% with the addition of new duplication towers and automated printing equipment. eThree Media can now run up to 500 CD-ROM or DVD-R copies in one business day.
Our process includes high resolution on-disc printing (we never apply labels on our discs) on high-quality media, inserted into the packaging of your choice. Prices for our duplication services are market driven. Please call for a current cost estimate on your duplication project.

New Company Name Effective Today
Video Construction Company announces our permanent name change today. Due to the growth of our main business service lines, we have dropped the Video Construction Company name.
After over five years as Video Construction Company, our evolving lines of service created the obvious need for a name change. In an effort to improve the classification of the full line of services offered at Video Construction, we have adopted the new name, eThree Media.
Because our roots are deeply involved in video production, we have been pushing the limits of computers for a long time. Along the way, we have picked up a lot of know-how and developed a lot of technical experience to go along with our design sense.
Our name may have changed, but inside we're the same people using the same equipment. We're excited at the prospect of our name change helping our clients to have a better understanding of what we do.

New Office Location
Video Construction Company officially opened the doors to our new storefront office location at 1201 Jefferson Street in Savannah today.
After two years at 111 E. President Street in Savannah's Historic District, Video Construction's President, Eric Darling, decided it was time for the move. The move brings better outfitted space and easier in and out access for ourselves and our clients. Parking had become a major concern in Savannah's congested tourist district on central President Street, and the new space at Jefferson and W. Duffy Streets offers ample free street parking.
In addition, the layout of the new space is more conducive to media production - the air handling in the facility is properly vented and the system is new. In fact, the entire space has recently been completely renovated, including a total overhaul of the electrical and security systems.
We look forward to many great years at our new facility.
